"Ten
Shades
Of
Black"
is
the
25th
solo
album
by
musical
creator
Stane
Špegel,
better
known
under
the
artistic
name
Monom.
With his rich musical heritage, Monom takes us on a journey through the dark shades of contemporary society.
The
album
represents
an
engaged
dystopian
amalgam,
skillfully
intertwining
elements
of
downbeat
cinematic
abstract
electronics
with
ethno/world
music
and
jazz
influences.
Each
sound
on
the
album
reflects
the
societal
events
that
surround
us. From environmental crises to political unrest, Monom's music opens the doors to the reality that surrounds us.
"Ten
Shades
Of
Black"
is
not
just
a
musical
album;
it's
an
auditory
backdrop
of
the
contemporary
Zeitgeist,
reminding
us
of
the
increasingly
probable
dystopian
future.
With
each
track,
we
delve
deeper
into
the
dark
shades
of
our
present,
marked
by
environmental
crises,
viral
pandemics,
hunger,
gentrification,
political,
economic,
and
environmental
migrations,
sexual
abuse in churches, peer violence, racism, and homophobia, as well as the ever more frequent war conflicts.
Join
Monom
on
a
musical
journey
through
the
complexity
of
the
modern
world.
"Ten
Shades
Of
Black"
is
here
to
remind
us
of
the power of music and its ability to reflect our reality.
